Improving Journeys Manchester

Enroute has submitted a response to Transport for Greater Manchester's consultation on improving journeys in Manchester city centre.

Our response focuses on three key areas: walking/wheeling, cycling, and bus transport, drawing on both our organisational stance and the lived experiences of our staff who regularly travel in Manchester.

We highlighted several priority areas requiring attention, including the challenging pedestrian environment around Piccadilly Station Approach, the need for improvements to the Piccadilly Gardens bus interchange, and the potential for better cycling infrastructure along key corridors like Portland Street and Great Ancoats Street.

Our submission emphasized the importance of reducing traffic in key areas, improving pedestrian priority, and creating clearer, safer routes for sustainable transport.
