We are seeking a passionate and driven Engagement Manager to join our team. This role is vital in shaping and executing strategies that enhance Enroute’s presence and influence in the transport sector. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to advancing sustainable transport policies and initiatives.

The Engagement Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic public affairs plans, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Enroute’s mission and objectives are effectively communicated and championed. This includes monitoring and analysing political, economic, and social trends affecting the transport sector to identify key opportunities for engagement and advocacy.

A core part of the role involves building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, government agencies, industry leaders, and other advocacy groups. You will represent Enroute at public forums, meetings, and events to advocate for our goals and will organise and participate in workshops and collaborative initiatives to drive sustainable transport improvements.

The Engagement Manager will act as a key spokesperson, handling media relations to effectively convey Enroute’s positions and initiatives. This involves preparing press releases, media briefings, and providing commentary to enhance our visibility and influence. Working in partnership with our wider team, you will utilise social media and digital platforms to engage with the public and amplify campaign messages.

The role also includes conducting research to support advocacy efforts, ensuring our policies and positions are well-informed and evidence-based. You will develop clear, persuasive materials such as policy briefs and reports while providing regular updates on public affairs activities, monitoring outcomes, and sharing insights with the team and Board Directors.

  • Proficiency in digital tools and social media for advocacy.
  • Experience in public speaking and media engagement.
  • Background in research, data collection, and analysis.
