Enroute has submitted a response to West Northamptonshire's draft Local Transport Plan consultation, endorsing the council's vision for a sustainable transport future.
Enroute particularly welcomed the plan’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2045 and its emphasis on making active travel the natural choice for short journeys.
Throughout our response, we expressed strong support for policies that align with our core mission of promoting sustainable transport solutions.
We particularly endorsed proposals for expanding active travel infrastructure, improving public transport connectivity, and enhancing rural transport links.
The consultation response highlighted our support for specific initiatives, including our proposed railway station at Weedon Bec, while emphasising the importance of prioritising sustainable transport modes over road expansion.
We maintained our position that road infrastructure improvements should be limited to essential safety enhancements, focusing instead on developing comprehensive active and public transport networks that serve communities of all sizes across West Northamptonshire.
